AI and score disclosure
How automated feedback should—and should not—be interpreted.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Estimated scores
Estimated bands are practice indicators, not official IELTS results. They should be interpreted alongside task coverage, evidence quality, and confidence.
Reading and Listening practice can be marked deterministically when a validated answer key exists. Writing and Speaking estimates depend on the evidence available and the configured evaluation mode.
Known limitations
Automated feedback can misunderstand meaning, miss valid language choices, or sound more certain than the evidence supports. A short diagnostic is not equivalent to a full test, and text alone cannot support reliable pronunciation judgments.
Human review
Use feedback to guide practice, not as an official result. For high-stakes decisions, rely on an authorised test result and, where useful, a qualified teacher or examiner.
