Privacy notice
What the beta may collect, why it is used, and the controls learners should have.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Beta status
This notice is a product-ready draft. The operator identity, registered address, governing jurisdiction, retention periods, and data-processing agreements must be confirmed before real learner accounts or payments are enabled.
Data used by the service
The service may process account details, learning goals, answers, essays, transcripts, practice scores, and product settings. When you explicitly enable recorded assessment, a recording is held in private platform storage while the background assessment runs and becomes ineligible for processing after 15 minutes. It is deleted before the result is released; an hourly cleanup recovers failed or expired jobs. It is never added to practice history. Access to the bounded diagnostic result, including its machine transcript, expires after one hour and scheduled cleanup then purges it.
The local demo stores selected preferences and practice state in your browser. Clearing site data removes that browser-only information.
Purpose and sharing
Learning data is used to provide practice, feedback, progress views, and support. Productive-skill content may be sent to configured AI or speech providers only when that feature is enabled and disclosed. Recorded answers are sent to Microsoft Azure Speech; reviewed transcripts may be sent to Z.AI for language coaching. Examiner prompts and learning text are sent to Azure when neural voice playback is enabled. Short generated clips may be held in memory in your browser tab for up to five minutes for replay, and are cleared on navigation or account changes. Speech usage counters contain account IDs, units and timestamps, not recordings or text, and are retained for up to 62 days plus the interval until the next speech request. Provider processing and retention must be covered by the final operator notice and agreements. Learner content must not be sold or used for unrelated advertising.
Analytics and cookies
With your permission, Google Analytics measures page visits and learning milestones, including trial-button clicks, account creation, checkout starts, diagnostics, practice, lessons, flashcards, introduction-video progress, mock-exam progress and coupon saving. It can also record broad failure categories to help us improve reliability. It loads only after you choose Allow analytics and uses browser cookies to recognise repeat visits. The integration excludes essays, transcripts, recordings, scores, email addresses, platform account identifiers, URL query strings, and administrator and sensitive account pages. Advertising signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.
Choose Decline analytics to use the platform without analytics. Reopen Cookie preferences in the public footer or learner Settings to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops collection and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser; it does not affect account or learning storage.
Your choices
Production accounts must support access, correction, export, and deletion requests. Contact the operator through the published support address for assistance.
Questions about this draft can be sent to support@ieltsera.com. Production launch remains gated on operator-specific legal review.
